What is documentary wedding photography?
From Wikipeadia: A candid photograph is a photograph captured without creating a posed appearance. The candid nature of a photograph is unrelated to the subject’s knowledge about or consent to the fact that photographs are being taken, and unrelated to the subject’s permission for further usage and distribution. The crucial factor is the actual absence of posing. However, if the subject is absolutely unaware of being photographed and does not even expect it, then such photography is secret photography, which is a special case of candid photography. I specialise as a documentary wedding photographer. Good documentary photography is the work of a photographer with a critical eye and a story to tell.
This page features some of my recent documentary wedding photography images. You can get an idea right away by looking at these posts of how I shoot weddings.
I always want my clients to remember their wedding day, not remember the time spent with the photographer.
I cover mainly South Yorkshire, and the surrounding areas but will shoot your wedding anywhere in the country! My style offers classic, timeless, high quality images, I shoot in a reportage, documentary style approach with a natural and relaxed yet professional manner.
