I have always had a “creative flair…”

I was working as a web designer and discovered that getting out and about with a camera was a great way to relax.

I would be out on walks with family and friends taking shots of everyone “photo opportunities” we called them.

In the beginning, it was just for fun but I soon realised that I had a good eye and a natural flair when people began commenting on my images and asking me to take photos for them.

I was enjoying both the photography and the editing and began to wonder if I could take photos for a living, my dream job.

Luckily for me, I had friends willing to take a chance on me by entrusting me to photograph their weddings and special events which enabled me to take the first steps and start up as a professional wedding photographer.

The rest as they say is history…

Today I have a successful business behind the camera doing what I love.

I get to meet people from all walks of life and consider it a privilege to be someone’s photographer of choice.

You can’t beat the feeling when someone thanks you and tells you how pleased they are with how you have captured their special day for them no matter how many times I hear that I’m always smiling on the inside.

“Richard managed to capture moments we didn’t know about and couldn’t have seen ourselves on the day, which just adds to our memories…”
