Wedding Photographer Sheffield
Creating images that truly represent your wedding day
Hello I’m Richard!
I’m a wedding photographer in Sheffield capturing authentic wedding moments.
I love photographing weddings all over the UK.
My style is all about letting your day flow naturally. I blend into the background, capturing every laugh, tear, and unexpected moment without getting in the way.
When you look back at your photos, I want you to think,
“That’s exactly how it felt…”
Natural Wedding Photography
Are you searching for a wedding photographer to capture your big day in a natural, story-telling way?
I photograph weddings in Sheffield and the Yorkshire area, but I also have travelled as far North as Gretna Green!
I specialise in wedding photography throughout Yorkshire, creating images that truly represent your special day.
Documentary style photography or editorial style wedding photography is a way of capturing the events as they unfold.
I want you to remember your wedding day as it happened, not by how much time you spent posing for photos..!
With a mix of candid and natural shots, I aim to capture your wedding day or family celebration as it was.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book?
If you wish before deciding to book we can chat over the phone, in person, email or zoom regarding your wedding day photos.
How do we pay?
A deposit is required at the time of booking. This can be paid by bank transfer. Please note this is a deposit and is therefore non-refundable. 28 days prior to the wedding day the remainder of the balance is payable.
Do you take group shots?
Yes! Although I am a documentary wedding photographer, I understand that some weddings require a certain amount of traditional group photos. Please make sure you send me the group shots you require via email prior to your wedding day.
How long after the wedding do I get my images?
Eight weeks after your wedding you will receive an email with a link to your online gallery. You can share this link with family and friends, download the images, and order prints.
How many photos will I receive?
For a full day shoot we will provide around 400+ professionally edited photographs.
Do you have insurance and back up equipment?
I have professional insurance to cover every aspect of my business and I carry two cameras and a variety of lenses to each wedding so if there was any sort of failure on the day, I am still able to work.
How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?
It’s best to book as soon as you’ve set your wedding date, especially during peak seasons (spring and summer). I typically recommend securing your photographer 12-18 months in advance to avoid disappointment.
What areas do you cover?
I’m based in Sheffield but happily travel across the UK and even internationally for weddings. Additional travel costs may apply for venues further afield, and these can be discussed during the consultation.
Do you offer engagement or pre-wedding shoots?
Yes, I do! Engagement shoots are a great way for us to get to know each other, help you feel more comfortable in front of the camera, and capture some lovely images before the big day. These shoots are currently £150.
What happens if it rains on the wedding day?
Rainy days can create some beautiful and unique photos! I always come prepared with umbrellas and work with the venue to find sheltered or indoor locations. We’ll make the best of the weather to capture stunning images.
Do you work alone or with a second photographer?
A second photographer is included on full day weddings and can be really useful in capturing different angles or capturing simultaneous moments like groom prep while I’m with the bride.
Can we give you a list of specific shots we’d like?
Absolutely! While I’ll guide the day and capture candid moments, I welcome a list of must-have shots, such as family groupings or specific details that are important to you.
Enjoy Your Wedding Day
Remember, your wedding day is about enjoying every moment, not spending it with a photographer. Let me capture the essence of your day (as it was!) so you can relive those special moments for years to come.
