Frequently Asked Questions

Wedding Photography FAQ’s

How do I book?

If you wish before deciding to book we can chat over the phone, email or Skype regarding your wedding day photos.

How do we pay?

A £100 deposit is required at the time of booking. Please note this is a deposit and is therefore non-refundable. 28 days prior to the wedding day the remainder of the balance is payable.

What file format do my photographs come in?

High quality jpg files of all your best images in a mixture of both colour and black and white.

How long after the wedding do I get my images?

Four to six weeks after your wedding you will receive an email with a link to your online gallery. The gallery will expire 2 months after the date of your wedding. You can share this link with family and friends, download the images, and order prints.

How many photos will I receive?

We will provide up to 450 professionally edited photographs.

Do you do a pre-wedding shoot?

Yes it is part of the full day wedding photographer package. From this you receive a 12×8 mounted print for wedding day guests to sign.

What happens if you are ill on the day?

I would shoot your wedding in all circumstances unless I was hospitalised. In this case, I am part of a network of professional photographers who would be able to photograph your wedding in my absence.

Do you have a second photographer/assistant?

I include a second photographer on all full day shoots, depending on availability.

How would you describe your style of photography?

We shoot in a documentary style in my wedding photography, capturing things as they happen.

What happens if the weather is bad?

I have lots of experience in dealing with wet and windy weather. There will always be something that we can do to work around whatever the weather does but generally I encourage my couples to seize the moment and embrace the weather. This is your special day!

We also aim to provide some traditional shots of the bride and groom. For the bride and groom I always ask that you allow a little time 30 minutes for us to go somewhere alone without the rest of your guests to capture some relaxed portraits of the two of you on your wedding day.

Can we provide you with a ‘group shot-list’?

I shoot in a documentary style, but if you require some group shots we will be happy to oblige.

How soon do I need to book you for my wedding?

As soon as possible! Dates are filling up now for 2021!

Do you have insurance and back up equipment?

I have professional insurance to cover every aspect of my business and I carry two cameras and a variety of lenses to each wedding so if there was any sort of failure on the day, I am still able to work.

I hate being photographed!

The majority of couples that I work with will tell me exactly the same thing.

I like to shoot in a documentary, story telling style, capturing the day as it enfolds and I will rarely ask you to pose, unless that’s the type of shoots you prefer. With every full day shoot you get an engagement session. This will give you an idea of how I work and it also gives us a chance to meet before the big day.

How long after the wedding do you keep my images for?

I keep your RAW and JPEG files for a period of six months.
